Ondanks dat kleding een eerste levensbehoefte is, weten we verrassend weinig over de impact van deze industrie op de wereld. De huidige generaties groeien op met een verslaving aan consumeren. Nog nooit in de historie bezitten we zo veel als nu, en als iedereen ter wereld zou consumeren zoals de gemiddelde Nederlander dat zou doen, zouden we 3.6 aardbollen nodig hebben om aan de vraag te voldoen. Dat kan anders.
Wat mij betreft mag er meer educatie op het gebied van dit onderwerp zijn. Daarom heb ik een lesprogramma ontwikkeld waarmee we spelenderwijs met de groepen aan de slag kunnen. Informatief om het thema genoeg te laten landen, met praktijkopdrachten om er direct mee zelf aan de slag te kunnen.
